In Flint Michigan at the Ultimate Fighting Academy MMA Gym stands a 5 foot 6 inch 120 pound fighter with MMA gloves on hitting Thai pads and perfecting leg kicks. If you walk into the UFA MMA Gym on any given night this scene is not unusual but this fighter is nicknamed the “The Dominator” is a cancer survivor, 42 years young, a single mother of three children and a full-time real estate agent.

It was in the month of February and the year 2009 when Dori’s instructor, coach and friend Matt approached her about a fight opportunity. Just two weeks before an already scheduled fight card a female fighter had backed out. Matt convinced Dori to step into the cage for her first MMA cage fight. "Stepping into that cage felt natural”. "My opponent was larger and outweighed me but with the years, months, days and hours of training I never got nervous”. 2 minutes and 26 seconds into the first round Dori had won her first MMA cage fight.

Dori is a RE/MAX Platinum Real Estate agent and has carried over her MMA experience into her life and job. That is good news for anyone utilizing her skills as an agent. “Mixed Martial Arts continues to teach me profound disciplines and perseverance”. “That determination carries over into all aspects of my life”. Gulick goes on to say “kick boxing, boxing and Jiu Jitsu brings a wealth of self-confidence and balance".

As a Member of the National Association of Realtors, Michigan Association of Realtors, Livingston County MI Association of Realtor and member of Team Andres Garcia (TAG) makes Dori someone I want one my side whether I am buying/selling a house or training for my next fight.
